Remedial (Rapid Response)
The most critical phase for the survival of road crash victims is the immediate after-crash period. Within this intervening time-space, proper handling and prompt evacuation of victims go a long way in determining the probability of a victim’s survival. Immediate post crash response in developing countries like Nigeria is still poor. We therefore complement the efforts of government agencies entrusted with this responsibility by liasing with ambulance services providers and trained personel to rescue and evacuate road crash victims to medical facilities. In addition, we give financial support to the less privileged victims especially women and children towards the settlement of their hospital bills.
Rapid Response (Onsite):
RCVF works with entities capable of providing onsite aid to crash victims. Where such entities do not exist, RCVF will train/support teams of volunteers to carry out such functions. Each Local Government Area (LGA) is expected to have a minimum of one team.
Rapid Response (Transportation)
Sometimes onsite resources are not sufficient to address needed medical attention to road crash victims. RCVF works with entities that provide medical transportation (Ambulances) to medical clinics. Often, victims do not seek proper medical assistance because of financial constraints. RCVF focuses on alleviating such concerns with financial subsidies.
Rapid Response (Clinics)
RCVF identifies and works with local clinics capable of providing urgent medical treatments to road crash victims. Victims that would have declined medical treatment for financial reasons and those who are financially handicapped are assisted.
