The Wheel of Safety is all about Creative Driving. Creative Driving elements do not only include the elements of defensive driving like the knowledge of traffic laws, rules, regulations, and behind the wheel procedures. They as well include the understanding and application of the laws of Nature, and the principles of harmonious living in our daily driving experiences.

The creative driver does not merely obey traffic rules because he does not want to have brushes with the law. Rather……The spiritual factor has become so dominant in his consciousness such that godly orderliness now rules his whole life. Therefore, he effortlessly always seeks to create orderliness and safety.

THE PREVENTABLE CARNAGE

The ever increasing carnage through crashes on our roads can only be effectively combated through well-planned and executed broad-based behavioral-change-oriented public enlightenment and education campaigns against this blood thirsty monster. The WHEEL of SAFETY by Chike Nwaka has provided us a solid printed material for such campaigns.

The strength of the book lies in the author’s combination of his insider-perspectives as a Commanding Officer of the Federal Road Safety Commission with his creative philosophical and pedagogical abilities as a former lecturer and an outstanding artist. I particularly like the simple and breezy style of the author which makes the book very interesting, quite educative and easy to read.

The book is a wonderful piece of “FACTION”, a very creative blend of facts and fiction. I therefore commend Chike Nwaka for this very creative and utilitarian work, and recommend it to all……
